We believe in building upon a family’s unique strengths to create an environment in which each member can thrive. Families struggling with multiple or complex issues often need more support than traditional therapy can provide.
Our Intensive Family Services are based on a model of care that begins with a comprehensive assessment of the family’s assets, needs, and challenges. We then design a personalized therapeutic program for the family that coordinates support at several levels. For example, therapy may be provided for each parent individually, the parenting couple, the child or children, parent-child pairs, siblings, and the entire family system. Wraparound services such as parenting education, educational support, and case management may be provided within the home, school, and the community.
We partner with the family and engage each family member to develop new skills, build support networks, boost a sense of competence, and improve communication.
Intensive Family Services are ideal for families dealing with issues such as:
- parenting challenges
- adolescent substance abuse
- chronic illness
- divorce and custody issues
- serious emotional or behavioral problems criminal justice involvement
- family crises
